JEREMIAH 36 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were AFRAID both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 24 Yet they were not AFRAID, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. JEREMIAH 46 6 Let not the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; they shall stumble, and fall toward the NORTH by the river Euphrates. 10 For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the NORTH country by the river Euphrates. 20 Egypt is like a very fair heifer, but destruction cometh; it cometh out of the NORTH. 24 The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the NORTH. 27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 47 2 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the NORTH, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl. JEREMIAH 50 3 For out of the NORTH there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast. 9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the NORTH country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain. 41 Behold, a people shall come from the NORTH, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. JEREMIAH 51 48 Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the NORTH, saith the LORD. EZEKIEL 1 4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the NORTH, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the NORTH, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry. 14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the NORTH; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. EZEKIEL 9 2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the NORTH, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. EZEKIEL 10 21 Every one had four faces APIECE, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings. EZEKIEL 20 47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the NORTH shall be burned therein. EZEKIEL 21 4 Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the NORTH: EZEKIEL 26 7 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the NORTH, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people. EZEKIEL 27 35 All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore AFRAID, they shall be troubled in their countenance. EZEKIEL 30 9 In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians AFRAID, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh. EZEKIEL 32 10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly AFRAID for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall. 30 There be the princes of the NORTH, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit. EZEKIEL 34 28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them AFRAID. EZEKIEL 38 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the NORTH quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. 15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the NORTH parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: EZEKIEL 39 2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the NORTH parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them AFRAID. EZEKIEL 40 20 And the gate of the outward court that looked toward the NORTH, he measured the length thereof, and the breadth thereof. 23 And the gate of the inner court was over against the gate toward the NORTH, and toward the east; and he measured from gate to gate an hundred cubits. 35 And he brought me to the NORTH gate, and measured it according to these measures; 40 And at the side without, as one goeth up to the entry of the NORTH gate, were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables. 44 And without the inner gate were the chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the NORTH gate; and their prospect was toward the south: one at the side of the east gate having the prospect toward the NORTH. 46 And the chamber whose prospect is toward the NORTH is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to the LORD to minister unto him. EZEKIEL 41 11 And the doors of the side chambers were toward the place that was left, one door toward the NORTH, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits round about. 24 And the doors had two leaves APIECE, two turning leaves; two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other door. EZEKIEL 42 1 Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the NORTH: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the NORTH. 2 Before the length of an hundred cubits was the NORTH door, and the breadth was fifty cubits. 4 And before the chambers was a walk to ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the NORTH. 11 And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the NORTH, as long as they, and as broad as they: and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors. 13 Then said he unto me, The NORTH chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. 17 He measured the NORTH side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. --MORE-- |
