DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. DEUTERONOMY 29 17 And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and GOLD, which were among them:) JOSHUA 6 19 But all the silver, and GOLD, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD. 24 And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the GOLD, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD. JOSHUA 7 21 When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of GOLD of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it. 24 And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of GOLD, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will FLEE before them, 6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They FLEE before us, as at the first: therefore we will FLEE before them. 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to FLEE this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. JOSHUA 9 3 And when the inhabitants of GIBEON heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai, 17 And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. Now their cities were GIBEON, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjathjearim. JOSHUA 10 1 Now it came to pass, when Adonizedec king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of GIBEON had made peace with Israel, and were among them; 2 That they feared greatly, because GIBEON was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty. 4 Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite GIBEON: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel. 5 Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before GIBEON, and made war against it. 6 And the men of GIBEON sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us. 10 And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at GIBEON, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Bethhoron, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah. 12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon GIBEON; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. 41 And Joshua smote them from Kadeshbarnea even unto Gaza, and all the country of Goshen, even unto GIBEON. JOSHUA 11 19 There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of GIBEON: all other they took in battle. JOSHUA 18 25 GIBEON, and Ramah, and Beeroth, JOSHUA 20 3 That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may FLEE thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood. 4 And when he that doth FLEE unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them. 9 These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might FLEE thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation. JOSHUA 21 17 And out of the tribe of Benjamin, GIBEON with her suburbs, Geba with her suburbs, JOSHUA 22 8 And he spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with GOLD, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren. JUDGES 6 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 8 26 And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of GOLD; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels' necks. JUDGES 20 32 And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us FLEE, and draw them from the city unto the highways. 1 SAMUEL 6 8 And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of GOLD, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go. 11 And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of GOLD and the images of their emerods. 15 And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of GOLD were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD. 2 SAMUEL 1 24 Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of GOLD upon your apparel. 2 SAMUEL 2 12 And Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ishbosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to GIBEON. 13 And Joab the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out, and met together by the pool of GIBEON: and they sat down, the one on the one side of the pool, and the other on the other side of the pool. 16 And they caught every one his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in his fellow's side; so they fell down together: wherefore that place was called Helkathhazzurim, which is in GIBEON. 24 Joab also and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down when they were come to the hill of Ammah, that lieth before Giah by the way of the wilderness of GIBEON. 2 SAMUEL 3 30 So Joab, and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at GIBEON in the battle. 2 SAMUEL 4 4 And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to FLEE, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth. 2 SAMUEL 8 7 And David took the shields of GOLD that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem. 10 Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of GOLD, and vessels of brass: 11 Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and GOLD that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued; 2 SAMUEL 12 30 And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of GOLD with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance. 2 SAMUEL 15 14 And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us FLEE; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword. 2 SAMUEL 17 2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall FLEE; and I will smite the king only: 2 SAMUEL 18 3 But the people answered, Thou shalt not go forth: for if we FLEE away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now thou art worth ten thousand of us: therefore now it is better that thou succour us out of the city. --MORE-- |
