JOSHUA 1 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. JOSHUA 8 31 As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed PEACE offerings. JOSHUA 9 15 And Joshua made PEACE with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them. 24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore AFRAID of our lives because of you, and have done this thing. JOSHUA 10 1 Now it came to pass, when Adonizedec king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made PEACE with Israel, and were among them; 4 Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made PEACE with Joshua and with the children of Israel. 21 And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in PEACE: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. 19 There was not a city that made PEACE with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle. JOSHUA 22 23 That we have built us an altar to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer PEACE offerings thereon, let the LORD himself require it; 27 But that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our PEACE offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no part in the LORD. JUDGES 4 17 Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was PEACE between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite. JUDGES 6 23 And the LORD said unto him, PEACE be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die. JUDGES 18 6 And the priest said unto them, Go in PEACE: before the LORD is your way wherein ye go. 19 And they said unto him, Hold thy PEACE, lay thine hand upon thy mouth, and go with us, and be to us a father and a priest: is it better for thee to be a priest unto the house of one man, or that thou be a priest unto a tribe and a family in Israel? JUDGES 19 20 And the old man said, PEACE be with thee; howsoever let all thy wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street. JUDGES 20 26 Then all the children of Israel, and all the people, went up, and came unto the house of God, and wept, and sat there before the LORD, and fasted that day until even, and offered burnt offerings and PEACE offerings before the LORD. JUDGES 21 4 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and PEACE offerings. But he held his PEACE. 1 SAMUEL 11 15 And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of PEACE offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly. 1 SAMUEL 13 9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and PEACE offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. 1 SAMUEL 17 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 1 SAMUEL 18 12 And Saul was AFRAID of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. 15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was AFRAID of him. 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 SAMUEL 20 7 If he say thus, It is well; thy servant shall have PEACE: but if he be very wroth, then be sure that evil is determined by him. 13 The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in PEACE: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father. 21 And, behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come thou: for there is PEACE to thee, and no hurt; as the LORD liveth. 42 And Jonathan said to David, Go in PEACE, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city. 1 SAMUEL 21 1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was AFRAID at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? 12 And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore AFRAID of Achish the king of Gath. 1 SAMUEL 23 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be AFRAID here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 1 SAMUEL 25 6 And thus shall ye say to him that liveth in prosperity, PEACE be both to thee, and PEACE be to thine house, and PEACE be unto all that thou hast. 35 So David received of her hand that which she had brought him, and said unto her, Go up in PEACE to thine house; see, I have hearkened to thy voice, and have accepted thy person. 1 SAMUEL 28 5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was AFRAID, and his heart greatly trembled. 13 And the king said unto her, Be not AFRAID: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 1 SAMUEL 29 7 Wherefore now return, and go in PEACE, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines. 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID.
