1 PETER 1 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto A lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for A season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of A lamb without blemish and without spot: 22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with A pure heart fervently: 1 PETER 2 4 To whom coming, as unto A living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up A spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion A chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 8 And A stone of stumbling, and A rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. 9 But ye are A chosen generation, A royal priesthood, an holy nation, A peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 10 Which in time past were not A people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 16 As free, and not using your liberty for A cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. 19 For this is thankworthy, if A man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. 1 PETER 3 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of A meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit A blessing. 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you A reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 16 Having A good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was A preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of A good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 1 PETER 4 15 But let none of you suffer as A murderer, or as A thief, or as an evildoer, or as A busybody in other men's matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as A Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto A faithful Creator. 1 PETER 5 1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and A witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also A partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of A ready mind; 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive A crown of glory that fadeth not away. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as A roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered A while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 12 By Silvanus, A faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. 14 Greet ye one another with A kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen. 2 PETER 1 1 Simon Peter, A servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such A voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 19 We have also A more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto A light that shineth in A dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 2 PETER 2 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of A long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, A preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with A tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom A man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 2 PETER 3 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as A thousand years, and A thousand years as one day. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as A thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with A great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and A new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 1 JOHN 1 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him A liar, and his word is not in us. 1 JOHN 2 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is A liar, and the truth is not in him. 8 Again, A new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. 22 Who is A liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 1 JOHN 3 15 Whosoever hateth his brother is A murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 JOHN 4 20 If A man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is A liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1 JOHN 5 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him A liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 16 If any man see his brother sin A sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is A sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is A sin not unto death. 2 JOHN 1 4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received A commandment from the Father. 5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote A new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is A deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive A full reward. --MORE-- |
