PROVERBS 26 1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is NOT seemly for a fool. 2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall NOT come. 4 Answer NOT a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. 7 The legs of the lame are NOT equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools. 17 He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging NOT to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears. 19 So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am NOT I in sport? 25 When he speaketh fair, believe him NOT: for there are seven abominations in his heart. PROVERBS 27 1 Boast NOT thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest NOT what a day may bring forth. 2 Let another man praise thee, and NOT thine own mouth; a stranger, and NOT thine own lips. 10 Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake NOT; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. 22 Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will NOT his foolishness depart from him. 24 For riches are NOT for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation? PROVERBS 28 5 Evil men understand NOT judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things. 13 He that covereth his sins shall NOT prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. 20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall NOT be innocent. 21 To have respect of persons is NOT good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress. 22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth NOT that poverty shall come upon him. 27 He that giveth unto the poor shall NOT lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. PROVERBS 29 7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth NOT to know it. 19 A servant will NOT be corrected by words: for though he understand he will NOT answer. 24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it NOT. PROVERBS 30 2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have NOT the understanding of a man. 6 Add thou NOT unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. 7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them NOT before I die: 10 Accuse NOT a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty. 11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth NOT bless their mother. 12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is NOT washed from their filthiness. 15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say NOT, It is enough: 16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is NOT filled with water; and the fire that saith NOT, It is enough. 18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know NOT: 25 The ants are a people NOT strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; 30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth NOT away for any; PROVERBS 31 3 Give NOT thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. 4 It is NOT for kings, O Lemuel, it is NOT for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: 12 She will do him good and NOT evil all the days of her life. 18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth NOT out by night. 21 She is NOT AFRAID of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth NOT the bread of idleness. ECCLESIASTES 1 7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is NOT full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again. 8 All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is NOT satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. ECCLESIASTES 2 10 And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept NOT from them, I withheld NOT my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour. 21 For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath NOT laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil. 23 For all his days are sorrows, and his travail grief; yea, his heart taketh NOT rest in the night. This is also vanity. ECCLESIASTES 4 3 Yea, better is he than both they, which hath NOT yet been, who hath NOT seen the evil work that is done under the sun. 8 There is one alone, and there is NOT a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath NOT another to help him up. 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is NOT quickly broken. 16 There is no end of all the people, even of all that have been before them: they also that come after shall NOT rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and vexation of spirit. ECCLESIASTES 5 1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider NOT that they do evil. 2 Be NOT rash with thy mouth, and let NOT thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. 4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer NOT to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. 5 Better is it that thou shouldest NOT vow, than that thou shouldest vow and NOT pay. 6 Suffer NOT thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands? 8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel NOT at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they. 10 He that loveth silver shall NOT be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. 12 The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will NOT suffer him to sleep. 20 For he shall NOT much remember the days of his life; because God answereth him in the joy of his heart. --MORE-- |
