JUDGES 19 3 And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant WITH him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father's house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him. 4 And his father in law, the damsel's father, retained him; and he abode WITH him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there. 5 And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort thine heart WITH a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way. 10 But the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Jebus, which is Jerusalem; and there were WITH him two asses saddled, his concubine also was WITH him. 19 Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is WITH thy servants: there is no want of any thing. 20 And the old man said, Peace be WITH thee; howsoever let all thy wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street. 24 Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do WITH them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing. 29 And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together WITH her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel. JUDGES 20 1 Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, WITH the land of Gilead, unto the LORD in Mizpeh. 37 And the liers in wait hasted, and rushed upon Gibeah; and the liers in wait drew themselves along, and smote all the city WITH the edge of the sword. 38 Now there was an appointed sign between the men of Israel and the liers in wait, that they should make a great flame WITH smoke rise up out of the city. 40 But when the flame began to arise up out of the city WITH a pillar of smoke, the Benjamites looked behind them, and, behold, the flame of the city ascended up to heaven. 43 Thus they inclosed the Benjamites round about, and chased them, and trode them down WITH ease over against Gibeah toward the sunrising. 48 And the men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and smote them WITH the edge of the sword, as well the men of every city, as the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they came to. JUDGES 21 5 And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up WITH the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death. 10 And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead WITH the edge of the sword, WITH the women and the children. 12 And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying WITH any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan. RUTH 1 6 Then she arose WITH her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread. 7 Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law WITH her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah. 8 And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the LORD deal kindly WITH you, as ye have dealt WITH the dead, and WITH me. 10 And they said unto her, Surely we will return WITH thee unto thy people. 11 And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go WITH me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands? 18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go WITH her, then she left speaking unto her. 20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly WITH me. 22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, WITH her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest. RUTH 2 4 And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be WITH you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee. 6 And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back WITH Naomi out of the country of Moab: 19 And her mother in law said unto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he that did take knowledge of thee. And she shewed her mother in law WITH whom she had wrought, and said, The man's name WITH whom I wrought to day is Boaz. 22 And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out WITH his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field. 23 So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt WITH her mother in law. RUTH 3 1 Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well WITH thee? 2 And now is not Boaz of our kindred, WITH whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor. 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was AFRAID, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. 1 SAMUEL 1 24 And when she had weaned him, she took him up WITH her, WITH three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child was young. 1 SAMUEL 2 4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded WITH strength. 13 And the priest's custom WITH the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was in seething, WITH a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand; 18 But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded WITH a linen ephod. 19 Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up WITH her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. 22 Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay WITH the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 26 And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both WITH the LORD, and also WITH men. 29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat WITH the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people? 1 SAMUEL 3 14 And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged WITH sacrifice nor offering for ever. 19 And Samuel grew, and the LORD was WITH him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. 1 SAMUEL 4 4 So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there WITH the ark of the covenant of God. 5 And when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted WITH a great shout, so that the earth rang again. 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore. 8 Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians WITH all the plagues in the wilderness. 12 And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh the same day WITH his clothes rent, and WITH earth upon his head. 19 And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was WITH child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her. 1 SAMUEL 5 6 But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them WITH emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof. 7 And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide WITH us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god. 8 They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do WITH the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither. 9 And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city WITH a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. 12 And the men that died not were smitten WITH the emerods: and the cry of the city went up to heaven. --MORE-- |
