2 SAMUEL 17 2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him AFRAID: and all the people that are WITH him shall flee; and I will smite the king only: 8 For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge WITH the people. 10 And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be WITH him are valiant men. 12 So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are WITH him there shall not be left so much as one. 16 Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are WITH him. 22 Then David arose, and all the people that were WITH him, and they passed over Jordan: by the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan. 24 Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom passed over Jordan, he and all the men of Israel WITH him. 29 And honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of kine, for David, and for the people that were WITH him, to eat: for they said, The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness. 2 SAMUEL 18 1 And David numbered the people that were WITH him, and set captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds over them. 2 And David sent forth a third part of the people under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said unto the people, I will surely go forth WITH you myself also. 5 And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake WITH the young man, even WITH Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom. 14 Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus WITH thee. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak. 27 And the watchman said, Me thinketh the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok. And the king said, He is a good man, and cometh WITH good tidings. 2 SAMUEL 19 4 But the king covered his face, and the king cried WITH a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son! 7 Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one WITH thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now. 16 And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down WITH the men of Judah to meet king David. 17 And there were a thousand men of Benjamin WITH him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants WITH him; and they went over Jordan before the king. 22 And David said, What have I to do WITH you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel? 25 And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore wentest not thou WITH me, Mephibosheth? 31 And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan WITH the king, to conduct him over Jordan. 33 And the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over WITH me, and I will feed thee WITH me in Jerusalem. 34 And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up WITH the king unto Jerusalem? 36 Thy servant will go a little way over Jordan WITH the king: and why should the king recompense it me WITH such a reward? 37 Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over WITH my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee. 38 And the king answered, Chimham shall go over WITH me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee. 40 Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on WITH him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel. 41 And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David's men WITH him, over Jordan? 2 SAMUEL 20 8 When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And Joab's garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle WITH a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out. 9 And Joab said to Amasa, Art thou in health, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard WITH the right hand to kiss him. 15 And they came and besieged him in Abel of Bethmaachah, and they cast up a bank against the city, and it stood in the trench: and all the people that were WITH Joab battered the wall, to throw it down. 16 Then cried a wise woman out of the city, Hear, hear; say, I pray you, unto Joab, Come near hither, that I may speak WITH thee. 2 SAMUEL 21 15 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again WITH Israel; and David went down, and his servants WITH him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint. 16 And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded WITH a new sword, thought to have slain David. 17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out WITH us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel. 18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle WITH the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant. 19 And there was again a battle in Gob WITH the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. 2 SAMUEL 22 5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me AFRAID; 26 WITH the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and WITH the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. 27 WITH the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and WITH the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury. 40 For thou hast girded me WITH strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me. 46 Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be AFRAID out of their close places. 2 SAMUEL 23 5 Although my house be not so WITH God; yet he hath made WITH me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow. 6 But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken WITH hands: 7 But the man that shall touch them must be fenced WITH iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned WITH fire in the same place. 9 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men WITH David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away: 21 And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him WITH a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him WITH his own spear. 2 SAMUEL 24 2 For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was WITH him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people. 1 KINGS 1 1 Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him WITH clothes, but he gat no heat. 7 And he conferred WITH Joab the son of Zeruiah, and WITH Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped him. 8 But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not WITH Adonijah. 14 Behold, while thou yet talkest there WITH the king, I also will come in after thee, and confirm thy words. 21 Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep WITH his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders. 22 And, lo, while she yet talked WITH the king, Nathan the prophet also came in. 23 And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king WITH his face to the ground. 31 Then Bathsheba bowed WITH her face to the earth, and did reverence to the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever. 33 The king also said unto them, Take WITH you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon: 34 And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye WITH the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon. 37 As the LORD hath been WITH my lord the king, even so be he WITH Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David. 40 And all the people came up after him, and the people piped WITH pipes, and rejoiced WITH great joy, so that the earth rent WITH the sound of them. 41 And Adonijah and all the guests that were WITH him heard it as they had made an end of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, Wherefore is this noise of the city being in an uproar? 44 And the king hath sent WITH him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king's mule: 49 And all the guests that were WITH Adonijah were AFRAID, and rose up, and went every man his way. 51 And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah feareth king Solomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me today that he will not slay his servant WITH the sword. --MORE-- |
