ECCLESIASTES 2 1 I said in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee WITH mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity. 3 I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart WITH wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life. 9 So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained WITH me. ECCLESIASTES 4 6 Better is an handful WITH quietness, than both the hands full WITH travail and vexation of spirit. 8 There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied WITH riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail. 15 I considered all the living which walk under the sun, WITH the second child that shall stand up in his stead. ECCLESIASTES 5 2 Be not rash WITH thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. 10 He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied WITH silver; nor he that loveth abundance WITH increase: this is also vanity. 11 When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them WITH their eyes? 17 All his days also he eateth in darkness, and he hath much sorrow and wrath WITH his sickness. ECCLESIASTES 6 3 If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled WITH good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he. 4 For he cometh in WITH vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name shall be covered WITH darkness. 10 That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend WITH him that is mightier than he. ECCLESIASTES 7 11 Wisdom is good WITH an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. ECCLESIASTES 8 12 Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well WITH them that fear God, which fear before him: 13 But it shall not be well WITH the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God. 15 Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide WITH him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun. 16 When I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth: (for also there is that neither day nor night seeth sleep WITH his eyes:) ECCLESIASTES 9 7 Go thy way, eat thy bread WITH joy, and drink thy wine WITH a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. 9 Live joyfully WITH the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun. 10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it WITH thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. ECCLESIASTES 11 5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is WITH child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. ECCLESIASTES 12 5 Also when they shall be AFRAID of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets: 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, WITH every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. SONG OF SOLOMON 1 2 Let him kiss me WITH the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. 6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry WITH me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. 10 Thy cheeks are comely WITH rows of jewels, thy neck WITH chains of gold. 11 We will make thee borders of gold WITH studs of silver. I sat down under his shadow WITH great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. 5 Stay me WITH flagons, comfort me WITH apples: for I am sick of love. 13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines WITH the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. SONG OF SOLOMON 3 6 Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed WITH myrrh and frankincense, WITH all powders of the merchant? 10 He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved WITH love, for the daughters of Jerusalem. 11 Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon WITH the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart. SONG OF SOLOMON 4 8 Come WITH me from Lebanon, my spouse, WITH me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards. 9 Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart WITH one of thine eyes, WITH one chain of thy neck. 13 Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, WITH pleasant fruits; camphire, WITH spikenard, 14 Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, WITH all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, WITH all the chief spices: SONG OF SOLOMON 5 1 I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh WITH my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb WITH my honey; I have drunk my wine WITH my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved. 2 I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled WITH dew, and my locks WITH the drops of the night. 5 I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped WITH myrrh, and my fingers WITH sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock. 12 His eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed WITH milk, and fitly set. 14 His hands are as gold rings set WITH the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid WITH sapphires. SONG OF SOLOMON 6 1 Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him WITH thee. 4 Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army WITH banners. 10 Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army WITH banners? SONG OF SOLOMON 7 1 How beautiful are thy feet WITH shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman. 2 Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about WITH lilies. SONG OF SOLOMON 8 9 If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her WITH boards of cedar. ISAIAH 1 4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden WITH iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. 6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified WITH ointment. 7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned WITH fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. 13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away WITH; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured WITH the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. 22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed WITH water: 27 Zion shall be redeemed WITH judgment, and her converts WITH righteousness. --MORE-- |
