JEREMIAH 42 6 Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well WITH us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God. 8 Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were WITH him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest, 11 Be not AFRAID of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are AFRAID; be not AFRAID of him, saith the LORD: for I am WITH you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. 16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were AFRAID, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. 17 So shall it be WITH all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them. JEREMIAH 43 6 Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left WITH Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah. 12 And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself WITH the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace. 13 He shall break also the images of Bethshemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn WITH fire. JEREMIAH 47 5 Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off WITH the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself? JEREMIAH 48 7 For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity WITH his priests and his princes together. 32 O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee WITH the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage. 33 And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab, and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread WITH shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting. 39 They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back WITH shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him. JEREMIAH 51 5 For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled WITH sin against the Holy One of Israel. 14 The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee WITH men, as WITH caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee. 16 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings WITH rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. 20 Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for WITH thee will I break in pieces the nations, and WITH thee will I destroy kingdoms; 21 And WITH thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and WITH thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; 22 WITH thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and WITH thee will I break in pieces old and young; and WITH thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; 23 I will also break in pieces WITH thee the shepherd and his flock; and WITH thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and WITH thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers. 28 Prepare against her the nations WITH the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion. 32 And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned WITH fire, and the men of war are affrighted. 34 Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly WITH my delicates, he hath cast me out. 40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams WITH he goats. 42 The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered WITH the multitude of the waves thereof. 58 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned WITH fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary. 59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went WITH Zedekiah the king of Judah into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these. 32 And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were WITH him in Babylon, LAMENTATIONS 1 2 She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously WITH her, they are become her enemies. 16 For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down WITH water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed. LAMENTATIONS 2 1 How hath the LORD covered the daughter of Zion WITH a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger! 4 He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood WITH his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire. 10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves WITH sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground. 11 Mine eyes do fail WITH tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city. --MORE-- |
