1 TIMOTHY 1 7 Desiring to be teachers of the LAW; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. 8 But we know that the LAW is good, if a man use it lawfully; 9 Knowing this, that the LAW is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, TITUS 3 9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the LAW; for they are unprofitable and vain. HEBREWS 7 5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the LAW, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: 11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the LAW,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the LAW. 16 Who is made, not after the LAW of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. 19 For the LAW made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. 28 For the LAW maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the LAW, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore. HEBREWS 8 4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the LAW: HEBREWS 9 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the LAW, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, 22 And almost all things are by the LAW purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. HEBREWS 10 1 For the LAW having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the LAW; 28 He that despised Moses' LAW died without mercy under two or three witnesses: HEBREWS 11 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not AFRAID of the king's commandment. JAMES 1 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect LAW of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. JAMES 2 8 If ye fulfil the royal LAW according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: 9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the LAW as transgressors. 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole LAW, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the LAW. 12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the LAW of liberty. JAMES 4 11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the LAW, and judgeth the LAW: but if thou judge the LAW, thou art not a doer of the LAW, but a judge. 1 PETER 3 6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not AFRAID with any amazement. 14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not AFRAID of their terror, neither be troubled; 2 PETER 2 10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not AFRAID to speak evil of dignities. 1 JOHN 2 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that ACKNOWLEDGETH the Son hath the Father also. 1 JOHN 3 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the LAW: for sin is the transgression of the LAW. --END-- |
