NUMBERS 32 1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the LAND of Jazer, and the LAND of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle; 4 Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a LAND for cattle, and thy servants have cattle: 5 Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this LAND be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan. 7 And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the LAND which the LORD hath given them? 8 Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadeshbarnea to see the LAND. 9 For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the LAND, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the LAND which the LORD had given them. 11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the LAND which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me: 17 But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the LAND. 22 And the LAND be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this LAND shall be your possession before the LORD. 29 And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the LAND shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the LAND of Gilead for a possession: 30 But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the LAND of Canaan. 32 We will pass over armed before the LORD into the LAND of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours. 33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the LAND, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about. NUMBERS 33 1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the LAND of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron. 37 And they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the LAND of Edom. 38 And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the LAND of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month. 40 And king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the LAND of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel. 51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the LAND of Canaan; 52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the LAND from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places: 53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the LAND, and dwell therein: for I have given you the LAND to possess it. 54 And ye shall divide the LAND by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit. 55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the LAND from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the LAND wherein ye dwell. NUMBERS 34 2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the LAND of Canaan; (this is the LAND that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the LAND of Canaan with the coasts thereof:) 12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your LAND with the coasts thereof round about. 13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the LAND which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe: 17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the LAND unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun. 18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the LAND by inheritance. 29 These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the LAND of Canaan. NUMBERS 35 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the LAND of Canaan; 14 Ye shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall ye give in the LAND of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge. 28 Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the LAND of his possession. 32 And ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the LAND, until the death of the priest. 33 So ye shall not pollute the LAND wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the LAND: and the LAND cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it. 34 Defile not therefore the LAND which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel. NUMBERS 36 2 And they said, The LORD commanded my lord to give the LAND for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the LORD to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters. DEUTERONOMY 1 5 On this side Jordan, in the LAND of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying, 7 Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the LAND of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates. 8 Behold, I have set the LAND before you: go in and possess the LAND which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them. 17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be AFRAID of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. 21 Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the LAND before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged. 22 And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the LAND, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come. 25 And they took of the fruit of the LAND in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good LAND which the LORD our God doth give us. 27 And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the LAND of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. 29 Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be AFRAID of them. 35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good LAND, which I sware to give unto your fathers. 36 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the LAND that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD. DEUTERONOMY 2 4 And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be AFRAID of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore: 5 Meddle not with them; for I will not give you of their LAND, no, not so much as a foot breadth; because I have given mount Seir unto Esau for a possession. 9 And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their LAND for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession. 12 The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the LAND of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them. 19 And when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the LAND of the children of Ammon any possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession. 20 (That also was accounted a LAND of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims; 24 Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his LAND: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle. 27 Let me pass through thy LAND: I will go along by the high way, I will neither turn unto the right hand nor to the left. 29 (As the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the LAND which the LORD our God giveth us. 31 And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his LAND before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his LAND. 37 Only unto the LAND of the children of Ammon thou camest not, nor unto any place of the river Jabbok, nor unto the cities in the mountains, nor unto whatsoever the LORD our God forbad us. --MORE-- |
