JOHN 18 1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where WAS a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. 10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name WAS Malchus. 13 And led him away to Annas first; for he WAS father in law to Caiaphas, which WAS the high priest that same year. 14 Now Caiaphas WAS he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it WAS expedient that one man should die for the people. 15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple WAS known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. 16 But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which WAS known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. 18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it WAS cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself. 28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it WAS early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end WAS I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas WAS a robber. JOHN 19 8 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he WAS the more AFRAID; 14 And it WAS the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! 19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing WAS JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. 20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus WAS crucified WAS nigh to the city: and it WAS written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. 23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat WAS without seam, woven from the top throughout. 29 Now there WAS set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 31 The Jews therefore, because it WAS the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day WAS an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which WAS crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he WAS dead already, they brake not his legs: 41 Now in the place where he WAS crucified there WAS a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein WAS never man yet laid. 42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre WAS nigh at hand. JOHN 20 1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it WAS yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. 7 And the napkin, that WAS about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. 14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it WAS Jesus. 24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, WAS not with them when Jesus came. JOHN 21 4 But when the morning WAS now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it WAS Jesus. 7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it WAS the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he WAS naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. 11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet WAS not the net broken. 12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it WAS the Lord. 14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he WAS risen from the dead. 17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter WAS grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ACTS 1 2 Until the day in which he WAS taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he WAS taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which WAS guide to them that took Jesus. 17 For he WAS numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. 19 And it WAS known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. 22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he WAS taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. 23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who WAS surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he WAS numbered with the eleven apostles. ACTS 2 1 And when the day of Pentecost WAS fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 6 Now when this WAS noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 16 But this is that which WAS spoken by the prophet Joel; 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it WAS not possible that he should be holden of it. 26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue WAS glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul WAS not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. ACTS 3 2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb WAS carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 10 And they knew that it WAS he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. 11 And as the lame man which WAS healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. 13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he WAS determined to let him go. 20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before WAS preached unto you: --MORE-- |
