JOEL 1 18 How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they HAVE no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate. JOEL 3 2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they HAVE scattered among the nations, and parted my land. 3 And they HAVE cast lots for my people; and HAVE given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. 4 Yea, and what HAVE ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head; 5 Because ye HAVE taken my silver and my gold, and HAVE carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things: 6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem HAVE ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border. 7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye HAVE sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head: 19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they HAVE shed innocent blood in their land. 21 For I will cleanse their blood that I HAVE not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion. AMOS 1 3 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they HAVE threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron: 13 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they HAVE ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border: AMOS 2 4 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they HAVE despised the law of the LORD, and HAVE not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers HAVE walked: AMOS 3 2 You only HAVE I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities. 4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he HAVE taken nothing? 5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and HAVE taken nothing at all? 15 And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall HAVE an end, saith the LORD. AMOS 4 6 And I also HAVE given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet HAVE ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. 7 And also I HAVE withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered. 8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet HAVE ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. 9 I HAVE smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet HAVE ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. 10 I HAVE sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men HAVE I slain with the sword, and HAVE taken away your horses; and I HAVE made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet HAVE ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. 11 I HAVE overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet HAVE ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. AMOS 5 9 That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the FORTRESS. 11 Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye HAVE built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye HAVE planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them. 14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye HAVE spoken. 25 HAVE ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? 26 But ye HAVE borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves. AMOS 6 12 Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye HAVE turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock: 13 Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, HAVE we not taken to us horns by our own strength? AMOS 9 7 Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. HAVE not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? 15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I HAVE given them, saith the LORD thy God. OBADIAH 1 1 The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We HAVE heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle. 2 Behold, I HAVE made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised. 5 If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not HAVE stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes? 7 All the men of thy confederacy HAVE brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee HAVE deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; that they eat thy bread HAVE laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him. 12 But thou shouldest not HAVE looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou HAVE rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou HAVE spoken proudly in the day of distress. 13 Thou shouldest not HAVE entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not HAVE looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor HAVE laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity; 14 Neither shouldest thou HAVE stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou HAVE delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress. 16 For as ye HAVE drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been. JONAH 2 9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I HAVE vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. MICAH 2 5 Therefore thou shalt HAVE none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD. 9 The women of my people HAVE ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children HAVE ye taken away my glory for ever. 13 The breaker is come up before them: they HAVE broken up, and HAVE passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them. MICAH 3 4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they HAVE behaved themselves ill in their doings. 6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not HAVE a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them. MICAH 4 6 In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I HAVE afflicted; 9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs HAVE taken thee as a woman in travail. MICAH 5 2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth HAVE been from of old, from everlasting. 12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt HAVE no more soothsayers: 15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they HAVE not heard. --MORE-- |
