MALACHI 1 2 I have loved YOU, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob, 6 A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto YOU, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? 9 And now, I pray YOU, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts. 10 Who is there even among YOU that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in YOU, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand. MALACHI 2 1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for YOU. 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon YOU, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. 3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take YOU away with it. 4 And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto YOU, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. 5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was AFRAID before my name. 9 Therefore have I also made YOU contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law. MALACHI 3 5 And I will come near to YOU to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts. 7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto YOU, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open YOU the windows of heaven, and pour YOU out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 12 And all nations shall call YOU blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts. MATTHEW 5 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile YOU, and persecute YOU, and shall say all manner of evil against YOU falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before YOU. 18 For verily I say unto YOU, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 20 For I say unto YOU, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. 22 But I say unto YOU, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 28 But I say unto YOU, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 32 But I say unto YOU, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. 34 But I say unto YOU, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: 39 But I say unto YOU, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 44 But I say unto YOU, Love your enemies, bless them that curse YOU, do good to them that hate YOU, and pray for them which despitefully use YOU, and persecute YOU; 46 For if ye love them which love YOU, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? MATTHEW 6 2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto YOU, They have their reward. 5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto YOU, They have their reward. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive YOU: 16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto YOU, They have their reward. 25 Therefore I say unto YOU, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 27 Which of YOU by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 29 And yet I say unto YOU, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe YOU, O ye of little faith? 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto YOU. MATTHEW 7 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to YOU again. 6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend YOU. 7 Ask, and it shall be given YOU; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto YOU: 9 Or what man is there of YOU, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to YOU, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to YOU in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. MATTHEW 9 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto YOU. MATTHEW 10 13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to YOU. 14 And whosoever shall not receive YOU, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. 15 Verily I say unto YOU, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. 16 Behold, I send YOU forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men: for they will deliver YOU up to the councils, and they will scourge YOU in their synagogues; 19 But when they deliver YOU up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given YOU in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in YOU. 23 But when they persecute YOU in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto YOU, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. 27 What I tell YOU in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. 40 He that receiveth YOU receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. 42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto YOU, he shall in no wise lose his reward. --MORE-- |
