DEUTERONOMY 17 12 And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the PRIEST that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel. DEUTERONOMY 18 3 And this shall be the PRIEST's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the PRIEST the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt PREPARE thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither. DEUTERONOMY 20 2 And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the PRIEST shall approach and speak unto the people, DEUTERONOMY 26 3 And thou shalt go unto the PRIEST that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us. 4 And the PRIEST shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God. JOSHUA 1 11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, PREPARE you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it. JOSHUA 19 51 These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the PRIEST, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country. JOSHUA 20 6 And he shall dwell in that city, until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and until the death of the high PRIEST that shall be in those days: then shall the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he fled. JOSHUA 21 1 Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the PRIEST, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel; 4 And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the PRIEST, which were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities. 13 Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the PRIEST Hebron with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs, JOSHUA 22 13 And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the PRIEST, 26 Therefore we said, Let us now PREPARE to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice: 30 And when Phinehas the PRIEST, and the princes of the congregation and heads of the thousands of Israel which were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spake, it pleased them. 31 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the PRIEST said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that the LORD is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against the LORD: now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD. 32 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the PRIEST, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again. JUDGES 16 21 But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the PRISON house. 25 And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the PRISON house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars. JUDGES 17 5 And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his PRIEST. 10 And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a PRIEST, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in. 12 And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his PRIEST, and was in the house of Micah. 13 Then said Micah, Now know I that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my PRIEST. JUDGES 18 4 And he said unto them, Thus and thus dealeth Micah with me, and hath hired me, and I am his PRIEST. 6 And the PRIEST said unto them, Go in peace: before the LORD is your way wherein ye go. 17 And the five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and took the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and the PRIEST stood in the entering of the gate with the six hundred men that were appointed with weapons of war. 18 And these went into Micah's house, and fetched the carved image, the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image. Then said the PRIEST unto them, What do ye? 19 And they said unto him, Hold thy peace, lay thine hand upon thy mouth, and go with us, and be to us a father and a PRIEST: is it better for thee to be a PRIEST unto the house of one man, or that thou be a PRIEST unto a tribe and a family in Israel? 20 And the PRIEST's heart was glad, and he took the ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and went in the midst of the people. 24 And he said, Ye have taken away my gods which I made, and the PRIEST, and ye are gone away: and what have I more? and what is this that ye say unto me, What aileth thee? 27 And they took the things which Micah had made, and the PRIEST which he had, and came unto Laish, unto a people that were at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city with fire. 1 SAMUEL 1 9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the PRIEST sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD. 1 SAMUEL 2 11 And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither. 15 Also before they burnt the fat, the PRIEST's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the PRIEST; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw. 28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my PRIEST, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel? 35 And I will raise me up a faithful PRIEST, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever. 1 SAMUEL 7 3 And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and PREPARE your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines. 1 SAMUEL 14 3 And Ahiah, the son of Ahitub, Ichabod's brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the LORD's PRIEST in Shiloh, wearing an ephod. Then said the PRIEST, Let us draw near hither unto God. 1 SAMUEL 21 1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the PRIEST: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? 2 And David said unto Ahimelech the PRIEST, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place. 4 And the PRIEST answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women. 5 And David answered the PRIEST, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel. 6 So the PRIEST gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away. 9 And the PRIEST said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here.
