And David said, There is none like that; give it me. 1 SAMUEL 22 11 Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the PRIEST, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king. 1 SAMUEL 23 9 And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the PRIEST, Bring hither the ephod. 22 Go, I pray you, PREPARE yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there: for it is told me that he dealeth very subtilly. 1 SAMUEL 30 7 And David said to Abiathar the PRIEST, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And they came before the king. 34 And let Zadok the PRIEST and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon. 38 So Zadok the PRIEST, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon. 39 And Zadok the PRIEST took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon. 42 And while he yet spake, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the PRIEST came; and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for thou art a valiant man, and bringest good tidings. 44 And the king hath sent with him Zadok the PRIEST, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king's mule: 45 And Zadok the PRIEST and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is the noise that ye have heard. 1 KINGS 2 22 And king Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? ask for him the kingdom also; for he is mine elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the PRIEST, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah. 26 And unto Abiathar the PRIEST said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the LORD God before David my father, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted. 27 So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being PRIEST unto the LORD; that he might fulfil the word of the LORD, which he spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh. 35 And the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his room over the host: and Zadok the PRIEST did the king put in the room of Abiathar. 1 KINGS 4 2 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the PRIEST, 1 KINGS 18 44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. For the PRIEST had said, Let her not be slain in the house of the LORD. 18 And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and brake it down; his altars and his images brake they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the PRIEST of Baal before the altars. And the PRIEST appointed officers over the house of the LORD. 2 KINGS 12 2 And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the PRIEST instructed him. 7 Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the PRIEST, and the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house. 9 But Jehoiada the PRIEST took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one cometh into the house of the LORD: and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of the LORD. 10 And it was so, when they saw that there was much money in the chest, that the king's scribe and the high PRIEST came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that was found in the house of the LORD. 2 KINGS 16 10 And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the PRIEST the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof. 11 And Urijah the PRIEST built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the PRIEST made it against king Ahaz came from Damascus. 15 And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the PRIEST, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by. 16 Thus did Urijah the PRIEST, according to all that king Ahaz commanded. --MORE-- |
