Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance. 20 And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the PRIEST, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you. 25 And when they were departed from him, (for they left him in great diseases,) his own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the PRIEST, and slew him on his bed, and he died: and they buried him in the city of David, but they buried him not in the sepulchres of the kings. 2 CHRONICLES 26 17 And Azariah the PRIEST went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men: 20 And Azariah the chief PRIEST, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him. 2 CHRONICLES 31 10 And Azariah the chief PRIEST of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store. 11 Then Hezekiah commanded to PREPARE chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared them, --MORE-- |
