For the PRIEST said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD. 17 Then all the people went to the house of Baal, and brake it down, and brake his altars and his images in pieces, and slew Mattan the PRIEST of Baal before the altars. 2 CHRONICLES 24 2 And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the PRIEST. 11 Now it came to pass, that at what time the chest was brought unto the king's office by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king's scribe and the high PRIEST's officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance. 20 And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the PRIEST, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you. 25 And when they were departed from him, (for they left him in great diseases,) his own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the PRIEST, and slew him on his bed, and he died: and they buried him in the city of David, but they buried him not in the sepulchres of the kings. 2 CHRONICLES 26 17 And Azariah the PRIEST went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men: 20 And Azariah the chief PRIEST, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him. 2 CHRONICLES 31 10 And Azariah the chief PRIEST of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store. 11 Then Hezekiah commanded to PREPARE chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared them, 2 CHRONICLES 34 9 And when they came to Hilkiah the high PRIEST, they delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned to Jerusalem. 14 And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the LORD, Hilkiah the PRIEST found a book of the law of the LORD given by Moses. 18 Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the PRIEST hath given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king. 2 CHRONICLES 35 4 And PREPARE yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son. 6 So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and PREPARE your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses. EZRA 2 63 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a PRIEST with Urim and with Thummim. EZRA 7 5 The son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief PRIEST: 11 Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the PRIEST, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel. 12 Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the PRIEST, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time. 21 And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the PRIEST, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily, EZRA 8 33 Now on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the PRIEST; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites; EZRA 10 10 And Ezra the PRIEST stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel. 16 And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the PRIEST, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter. NEHEMIAH 3 1 Then Eliashib the high PRIEST rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel. 20 After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired the other piece, from the turning of the wall unto the door of the house of Eliashib the high PRIEST. 25 Palal the son of Uzai, over against the turning of the wall, and the tower which lieth out from the king's high house, that was by the court of the PRISON. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh. NEHEMIAH 7 65 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a PRIEST with Urim and Thummim. NEHEMIAH 8 2 And Ezra the PRIEST brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month. 9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the PRIEST the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep.
