PSALM 8 8 The fowl of the AIR, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. PSALM 15 1 Lord, who shall ABIDE in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? PSALM 26 6 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine ALTAR, O LORD: PSALM 43 4 Then will I go unto the ALTAR of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. PSALM 51 19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine ALTAR. PSALM 61 4 I will ABIDE in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. 7 He shall ABIDE before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him. PSALM 91 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall ABIDE under the shadow of the Almighty. PSALM 118 27 God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the ALTAR. PROVERBS 7 11 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet ABIDE not in her house: PROVERBS 19 23 The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall ABIDE satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil. PROVERBS 20 18 Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good ADVICE make war. PROVERBS 30 19 The way of an eagle in the AIR; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid. ECCLESIASTES 8 15 Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall ABIDE with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun. ECCLESIASTES 10 20 Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the AIR shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter. ISAIAH 6 6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the ALTAR: ISAIAH 19 19 In that day shall there be an ALTAR to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD. ISAIAH 27 9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the ALTAR as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. ISAIAH 36 7 But if thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this ALTAR? ISAIAH 56 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine ALTAR; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. ISAIAH 60 7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine ALTAR, and I will glorify the house of my glory. JEREMIAH 6 11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the AGED with him that is full of days. JEREMIAH 10 10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to ABIDE his indignation. JEREMIAH 42 10 If ye will still ABIDE in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you. JEREMIAH 49 18 As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall ABIDE there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it. 33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man ABIDE there, nor any son of man dwell in it. JEREMIAH 50 40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man ABIDE there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein. LAMENTATIONS 2 7 The LORD hath cast off his ALTAR, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast. EZEKIEL 8 5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the ALTAR this image of jealousy in the entry. 16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the ALTAR, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. EZEKIEL 9 2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen ALTAR. EZEKIEL 40 46 And the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the ALTAR: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to the LORD to minister unto him. 47 So he measured the court, an hundred cubits long, and an hundred cubits broad, foursquare; and the ALTAR that was before the house. EZEKIEL 41 22 The ALTAR of wood was three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, were of wood: and he said unto me, This is the table that is before the LORD. EZEKIEL 43 13 And these are the measures of the ALTAR after the cubits: The cubit is a cubit and an hand breadth; even the bottom shall be a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about shall be a span: and this shall be the higher place of the ALTAR. 15 So the ALTAR shall be four cubits; and from the ALTAR and upward shall be four horns. 16 And the ALTAR shall be twelve cubits long, twelve broad, square in the four squares thereof. 18 And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are the ordinances of the ALTAR in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon. 22 And on the second day thou shalt offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the ALTAR, as they did cleanse it with the bullock. 26 Seven days shall they purge the ALTAR and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves. 27 And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day, and so forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the ALTAR, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD. EZEKIEL 45 19 And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the ALTAR, and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court. EZEKIEL 47 1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the ALTAR. HOSEA 3 3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt ABIDE for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee. 4 For the children of Israel shall ABIDE many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: HOSEA 11 6 And the sword shall ABIDE on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels. JOEL 1 13 Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the ALTAR: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God. JOEL 2 11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can ABIDE it? 17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the ALTAR, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? AMOS 2 8 And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every ALTAR, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god. --MORE-- |
