So he finished the house. 1 KINGS 12 32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the ALTAR. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made. 33 So he offered upon the ALTAR which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the ALTAR, and burnt incense. 1 KINGS 13 1 And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the ALTAR to burn incense. 2 And he cried against the ALTAR in the word of the LORD, and said, O ALTAR, ALTAR, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee. 3 And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the ALTAR shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. 4 And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the ALTAR in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the ALTAR, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. 5 The ALTAR also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the ALTAR, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD. 32 For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the ALTAR in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass. 1 KINGS 14 11 Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the AIR eat: for the LORD hath spoken it. 1 KINGS 16 4 Him that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth of his in the fields shall the fowls of the AIR eat. 32 And he reared up an ALTAR for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. 1 KINGS 18 26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. And he repaired the ALTAR of the LORD that was broken down. 32 And with the stones he built an ALTAR in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the ALTAR, as great as would contain two measures of seed. 35 And the water ran round about the ALTAR; and he filled the trench also with water. 1 KINGS 21 24 Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the AIR eat. 2 KINGS 11 11 And the guard stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, round about the king, from the right corner of the temple to the left corner of the temple, along by the ALTAR and the temple. 2 KINGS 12 9 But Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the ALTAR, on the right side as one cometh into the house of the LORD: and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of the LORD. 2 KINGS 16 10 And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw an ALTAR that was at Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the ALTAR, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof. 11 And Urijah the priest built an ALTAR according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it against king Ahaz came from Damascus. 12 And when the king was come from Damascus, the king saw the ALTAR: and the king approached to the ALTAR, and offered thereon. 13 And he burnt his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, upon the ALTAR. 14 And he brought also the brasen ALTAR, which was before the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the ALTAR and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the ALTAR. 15 And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great ALTAR burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen ALTAR shall be for me to enquire by. 2 KINGS 18 22 But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this ALTAR in Jerusalem? --MORE-- |
