NEHEMIAH 7 4 Now the city was large and GREAT: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded. NEHEMIAH 8 6 And Ezra blessed the LORD, the GREAT God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground. 12 And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make GREAT mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them. 17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very GREAT gladness. NEHEMIAH 9 17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of GREAT kindness, and forsookest them not. 18 Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is thy God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought GREAT provocations; 25 And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy GREAT goodness. 26 Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought GREAT provocations. 31 Nevertheless for thy GREAT mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God. 32 Now therefore, our God, the GREAT, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day. 35 For they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy GREAT goodness that thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land which thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked works. 37 And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in GREAT distress. NEHEMIAH 11 14 And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the GREAT men. NEHEMIAH 12 31 Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two GREAT companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate: 43 Also that day they offered GREAT sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with GREAT joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off. NEHEMIAH 13 5 And he had prepared for him a GREAT chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests. 15 In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, GRAPES, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals. 27 Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this GREAT evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives? ESTHER 1 5 And when these days were expired, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace, both unto GREAT and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king's palace; 20 And when the king's decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is GREAT,) all the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to GREAT and small. ESTHER 2 18 Then the king made a GREAT feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther's feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king. ESTHER 4 3 And in every province, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was GREAT mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes. ESTHER 8 15 And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a GREAT crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad. ESTHER 9 4 For Mordecai was GREAT in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater. ESTHER 10 3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and GREAT among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed. JOB 1 3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very GREAT household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east. 19 And, behold, there came a GREAT wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. JOB 2 13 So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very GREAT. JOB 3 19 The small and GREAT are there; and the servant is free from his master. JOB 5 9 Which doeth GREAT things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: 25 Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be GREAT, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. JOB 9 10 Which doeth GREAT things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. 25 Now my days are swifter than a post: they FLEE away, they see no good. JOB 20 24 He shall FLEE from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through. JOB 22 5 Is not thy wickedness GREAT? and thine iniquities infinite? JOB 23 6 Will he plead against me with his GREAT power? No; but he would put strength in me. JOB 27 22 For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain FLEE out of his hand. JOB 30 10 They abhor me, they FLEE far from me, and spare not to spit in my face. 18 By the GREAT force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat. JOB 31 20 If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the FLEECE of my sheep; 25 If I rejoice because my wealth was GREAT, and because mine hand had gotten much; 34 Did I fear a GREAT multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door? JOB 32 9 GREAT men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment. JOB 35 15 But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in GREAT extremity: JOB 36 18 Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a GREAT ransom cannot deliver thee. 26 Behold, God is GREAT, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out. JOB 37 5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; GREAT things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. 6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the GREAT rain of his strength. JOB 38 21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is GREAT? JOB 39 11 Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is GREAT? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him? --MORE-- |
