JEREMIAH 32 17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy GREAT power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: 18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the GREAT, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name, 19 GREAT in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: 21 And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with GREAT terror; 37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in GREAT wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: 42 For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this GREAT evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them. JEREMIAH 33 3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee GREAT and mighty things, which thou knowest not. JEREMIAH 36 7 It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for GREAT is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people. JEREMIAH 45 5 And seekest thou GREAT things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest. JEREMIAH 46 6 Let not the swift FLEE away, nor the mighty man escape; they shall stumble, and fall toward the north by the river Euphrates. JEREMIAH 48 3 A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and GREAT destruction. 6 FLEE, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness. 9 Give wings unto Moab, that it may FLEE and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein. JEREMIAH 49 8 FLEE ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him. 9 If grapegatherers come to thee, would they not leave some gleaning GRAPES? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough. 24 Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to FLEE, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. 30 FLEE, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you. JEREMIAH 50 9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of GREAT nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain. 16 Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall FLEE every one to his own land. 22 A sound of battle is in the land, and of GREAT destruction. 28 The voice of them that FLEE and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple. 41 Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a GREAT nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. JEREMIAH 51 6 FLEE out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD's vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence. 54 A sound of a cry cometh from Babylon, and GREAT destruction from the land of the Chaldeans: 55 Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the GREAT voice; when her waves do roar like GREAT waters, a noise of their voice is uttered: JEREMIAH 52 13 And burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the GREAT men, burned he with fire: LAMENTATIONS 1 1 How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was GREAT among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary! 3 Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of GREAT servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits. LAMENTATIONS 2 13 What thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach is GREAT like the sea: who can heal thee? LAMENTATIONS 3 23 They are new every morning: GREAT is thy faithfulness. EZEKIEL 1 4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a GREAT cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. 24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of GREAT waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings. EZEKIEL 3 12 Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a GREAT rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place. 13 I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a GREAT rushing. EZEKIEL 8 6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the GREAT abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. EZEKIEL 9 9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding GREAT, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not. EZEKIEL 13 11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O GREAT hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it. 13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and GREAT hailstones in my fury to consume it. EZEKIEL 16 7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen GREAT, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare. 26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, GREAT of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger. EZEKIEL 17 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A GREAT eagle with GREAT wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar: 5 He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by GREAT waters, and set it as a willow tree. 7 There was also another GREAT eagle with GREAT wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation. 8 It was planted in a good soil by GREAT waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine. 9 Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without GREAT power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof. 17 Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and GREAT company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons: --MORE-- |
