ISAIAH 42 10 Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the SEA, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. ISAIAH 43 16 Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the SEA, and a path in the mighty waters; ISAIAH 44 8 Fear ye not, neither be AFRAID: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. ISAIAH 48 18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the SEA: ISAIAH 50 2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the SEA, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst. ISAIAH 51 7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye AFRAID of their revilings. 10 Art thou not it which hath dried the SEA, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the SEA a way for the ransomed to pass over? 12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be AFRAID of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; 15 But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the SEA, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name. ISAIAH 57 11 And of whom hast thou been AFRAID or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not? 20 But the wicked are like the troubled SEA, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. ISAIAH 60 5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the SEA shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. ISAIAH 61 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride ADORNETH herself with her jewels. ISAIAH 63 11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the SEA with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him? JEREMIAH 1 8 Be not AFRAID of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 2 12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly AFRAID, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 5 22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the SEA by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? JEREMIAH 6 23 They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the SEA; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion. JEREMIAH 10 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not AFRAID of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. JEREMIAH 25 22 And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the SEA, JEREMIAH 26 21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was AFRAID, and fled, and went into Egypt; JEREMIAH 27 19 For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the SEA, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city. JEREMIAH 30 10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 31 35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the SEA when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: JEREMIAH 33 22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the SEA measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me. JEREMIAH 36 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were AFRAID both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 24 Yet they were not AFRAID, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. JEREMIAH 38 19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am AFRAID of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. JEREMIAH 39 17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art AFRAID. JEREMIAH 41 18 Because of the Chaldeans: for they were AFRAID of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land. JEREMIAH 42 11 Be not AFRAID of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are AFRAID; be not AFRAID of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. 16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were AFRAID, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. JEREMIAH 46 18 As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the SEA, so shall he come. 27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 47 7 How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the SEA shore? there hath he appointed it. JEREMIAH 48 32 O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the SEA, they reach even to the SEA of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage. JEREMIAH 49 21 The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red SEA. 23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the SEA; it cannot be quiet. JEREMIAH 50 42 They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not shew mercy: their voice shall roar like the SEA, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon. JEREMIAH 51 36 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her SEA, and make her springs dry. 42 The SEA is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof. JEREMIAH 52 17 Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen SEA that was in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon. 20 The two pillars, one SEA, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight. LAMENTATIONS 2 13 What thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach is great like the SEA: who can heal thee? LAMENTATIONS 4 3 Even the SEA monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness. EZEKIEL 2 6 And thou, son of man, be not AFRAID of them, neither be AFRAID of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not AFRAID of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. EZEKIEL 25 16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the SEA coast. EZEKIEL 26 3 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the SEA causeth his waves to come up. 5 It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the SEA: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations. 16 Then all the princes of the SEA shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee. 17 And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the SEA, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it! 18 Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the SEA shall be troubled at thy departure. --MORE-- |
