JONAH 1 4 But the LORD sent out a great wind into the SEA, and there was a mighty tempest in the SEA, so that the ship was like to be broken. 5 Then the mariners were AFRAID, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the SEA, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. 9 And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the SEA and the dry land. 10 Then were the men exceedingly AFRAID, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. 11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the SEA may be calm unto us? for the SEA wrought, and was tempestuous. 12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the SEA; so shall the SEA be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you. 13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the SEA wrought, and was tempestuous against them. 15 So they look up Jonah, and cast him forth into the SEA: and the SEA ceased from her raging. MICAH 4 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. HABAKKUK 3 2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was AFRAID: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. 8 Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the SEA, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation? 15 Thou didst walk through the SEA with thine horses, through the heap of great waters. ZEPHANIAH 1 3 I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the SEA, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked: and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD. ZEPHANIAH 2 5 Woe unto the inhabitants of the SEA coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant. 6 And the SEA coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks. Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the SEA; and there was a great calm. 27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the SEA obey him! 32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the SEA, and perished in the waters. MATTHEW 13 1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the SEA side. 47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the SEA, and gathered of every kind: MATTHEW 14 24 But the ship was now in the midst of the SEA, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the SEA. 26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the SEA, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not AFRAID. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was AFRAID; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. MATTHEW 15 29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the SEA of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there. MATTHEW 17 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore AFRAID. 7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not AFRAID. 27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the SEA, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. --MORE-- |
