For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. 11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the SEA may be calm unto us? for the SEA wrought, and was tempestuous. 12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the SEA; so shall the SEA be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you. 13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the SEA wrought, and was tempestuous against them. 15 So they look up Jonah, and cast him forth into the SEA: and the SEA ceased from her raging. MICAH 4 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. ZEPHANIAH 1 3 I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the SEA, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked: and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD. ZEPHANIAH 2 5 Woe unto the inhabitants of the SEA coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant. 6 And the SEA coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.
