MICAH 1 2 Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the LORD from his holy temple. MICAH 3 7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of GOD. MICAH 4 2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the GOD of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his GOD, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our GOD for ever and ever. MICAH 6 6 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high GOD? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? 8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy GOD? MICAH 7 7 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the GOD of my salvation: my GOD will hear me. 10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy GOD? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets. 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our GOD, and shall fear because of thee. 18 Who is a GOD like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. NAHUM 1 2 GOD is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. NAHUM 2 8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall FLEE away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back. NAHUM 3 7 And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall FLEE from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee? 17 Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they FLEE away, and their place is not known where they are. HABAKKUK 1 11 Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his GOD. 12 Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my GOD, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty GOD, thou hast established them for correction. HABAKKUK 3 3 GOD came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. 18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the GOD of my salvation. 19 The LORD GOD is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments. ZEPHANIAH 1 7 Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests. ZEPHANIAH 2 7 And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their GOD shall visit them, and turn away their captivity. 9 Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the GOD of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them. ZEPHANIAH 3 2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her GOD. 17 The LORD thy GOD in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. HAGGAI 1 12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their GOD, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their GOD had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD. 14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their GOD, ZECHARIAH 2 6 Ho, ho, come forth, and FLEE from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. ZECHARIAH 6 15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your GOD. ZECHARIAH 7 2 When they had sent unto the house of GOD Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the LORD, ZECHARIAH 8 8 And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their GOD, in truth and in righteousness. 23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that GOD is with you. ZECHARIAH 9 7 And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our GOD, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite. 14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. 16 And the LORD their GOD shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. ZECHARIAH 12 5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their GOD. 8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as GOD, as the angel of the LORD before them. ZECHARIAH 13 9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my GOD. ZECHARIAH 14 5 And ye shall FLEE to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall FLEE, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my GOD shall come, and all the saints with thee. MALACHI 1 9 And now, I pray you, beseech GOD that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts. MALACHI 2 10 Have we not all one father? hath not one GOD created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? 11 Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange GOD. 16 For the LORD, the GOD of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously. 17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the GOD of judgment? MALACHI 3 8 Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve GOD: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? 15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt GOD are even delivered. 18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth GOD and him that serveth him not. MATTHEW 1 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD with us. MATTHEW 2 12 And being warned of GOD in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. 13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and FLEE into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of GOD in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: --MORE-- |
